Bespoke Creative Writing Workshop March 2023

A morning workshop for French students aged 17 & 18 from the Loire, delivered in English, with the brief to understand how the landscape of The South Hams (specifically the vicinity of Slapton and its hinterland) has inspired writers and artists, and how it has influenced history.

And to produce a piece of creative writing based on the students' experience and understanding. A piece of creative writing that they can develop and use for future projects.

We experienced the beach at Slapton Sands, the salvaged Sherman Tank from Operation Tiger in WWII, harvested words and impressions, then, indoors, engaged in a creative response to the students' felt experience of their understanding of lives lived and lost here.
