Writers At The Watermill 9-12 November 2018

Explore your creativity and discover how to edit your work ready for feedback or print on a residential, fully catered, writing workshop weekend in the heart of a literary landscape.

A three nights in a room of your own at historic Watermill Cottages in the stunning coastal Gara Valley between Dartmouth and Kingsbridge in South Devon's AONB.  Nestled in a secret valley below the hamlet of Hansel, near Slapton, you're a world away from modern life.  A cosy, old, stone cottage by an 18thC former watermill and stream on a 20 acre smallholding.  Meals lovingly prepared using organic standard local ingredients, home-grown where possible.  Log fires with wood from our own coppice.

And space to relax and explore your creativity far from the madding crowd in a landscape that's inspired poets, writers and artists like Jack Butler Yeats, John Masefield and a member of the Bloomsbury set.

There are just eight places.  Reserve yours by emailing Christine using the form below.  See writing workshops for more details, biographies, prices and testimonials from previous delegates.

Morning, Afternoon or Day Workshops

Tread in famous footsteps on my Walk with Words Guided Literary Walk round the Gara Valley.  Enjoy a morning or afternoon stroll and hear who lived here and what they wrote.  See what they painted afterwards as we enjoy cake and refreshements by the stream or by the fire.

Email me on the form below to register your interest on the next walk.

What do you write when inspired?  Join me in a small group as we Walk with Words and Writing.  A guided literary walk with words written in the valley, as above.  We'll take our journals and write in the wild.  Exploring how being in nature silences the white noise in our heads and opens our creativity.  Morning or afternoon, with cake and refreshments, or a whole day with lunch and rrefreshments.  Email the form below to register your interest in the next workshop.
