Welcome to JourneyWords.  I'm Christine - writer, poet, spinner, grower.  I'm passionate about living creatively and about writing. 

I offer creative writing workshops for small groups and bespoke writing events for larger groups.  Guided literary walks too, with writing in the wild in a magical South Devon coastal valley that has a remarkable literary history.  I also host Spoken Word Open Mic evenings in The South Hams.

I'm an active member of local and international writing groups, a member of Moor Poets and a contributing writer to anthologies.

In 2018, I co-founded Wednesday Writers with editor and writer's mentor Anne Rainbow, a monthly Artist's Date in South Devon offering structured workshops on all aspects of creative writing and editing. Wednesday Writers continues online with Anne and Kerry Hadley-Pryce.

I've hosted writing retreats like Slow Nature, Wild Words with Left Bank Writers Group; and Writers At The Watermill with Jo Parfitt/The Hague Writers Circle, and with Anne Rainbow. 

I've written creatively since I could hold a pen, am a lifelong journaller and love experimenting with form in poetry and prose, always drawing inspiration from the natural world around me.  I grew up in N. Lincolnshire and studied English at Oxford.  I've lived, worked and written in England, Europe and N. America, am mulitlingual and I love words!
